Vastu Boutique Hotel

The quiet location, the customer service was excellent. I appreciated the warm welcome with a watermelon drink. I was educated about things to do, the roof top is a great place to chill out and watch the sun rise. The water pressure was the best.

Everything was perfect

Excellent facilities, clean and quiet room despite busy Thamel area location. Superb, friendly and professional staff and service.

Clean and warm.Offering free tea and instant coffee.

Smoke from someone’s cigarette drifted in through the exhaust fan and the window.

The staff at Vastu were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, in Thamel but away from the busy main streets. The room was lovely and cosy, and a delicious breakfast! Would recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu!

It’s a beautiful hotel, location is great, just a 5 min walk to the center of Thamel. Very clean, the rooms are small but you don’t really need more than that, the bed is the best part, it is huge and soooo comfortable.

Room was clean. Breakfast was fine - you order off a menu, but plenty of food was provided. Onsite manager seemed eager to help provide tips and resources. Price is also good.

Street dogs barking kept us up at night, although its not the hotel's fault. The entire street was also being torn up, which reduced street noise but also made it difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The room is small (shower especially so) and felt a bit cave like. Smoke from tables outside at ground level entered our room through the vents.

Very friendly staff and great location with very tasty breakfast

Small window

This small, lovely hotel was delightful. It had a fresh decor with pleasant setting for an excellent free personalize breakfast. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The elevator was just what we needed. Ashish who greeted us made us feel so welcome and was helpful with everything we needed. He should give lessons in customer service - informative and personable. If you need to organize a trek or a massage, he can Help. Thank you Ashish and the staff. We were lucky our flight to Lukla was delayed so we could stay with you.

Kind & helpful staff! Room was just as photos, really comfortable & well equipped

Nothing!

The room was very clean and exactly how it was described. The breakfast included was amazing, and staff even pack you a to-go breakfast if you have an early morning start. Staff are also very friendly and helpful with recommendations on places to go, things to see and food.

Great location on a quiet street within the Thamel district. Very comfortable, spacious rooms with excellent breakfast. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff always willing to go above and beyond to make sure guests have a great experience. We’d love to come back!

The room was super clean! The hot shower was very hot with good pressure. Staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast - big and filling. Definitely will stay again

A window in the room was a bit small for my liking (I like big windows and lots of natural light).

Location and staff amazing. Quiet street out of the chaos. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Helpful with local sights to see and there for you if you need guidance on booking treks and excursions. Good restaurants very close by

Some rooms have pretty small windows, our mattress was pretty saggy.

Vastu is a hidden gem with a B&B feel, but all of the amenities of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, wonderful air conditioning, The staff are exceptional literally available around the clock. We had to be up very early in the morning for a pickup, and they made sure we had coffee and something to eat. They took care of money exchange for us and any sort of transportation needed. They stored our luggage while on a trek and when we came back to stay, they upgraded our room. Always, so kind and attentive!

Nothing!

The location was ideally situated to visit most places in Kathmandu. Extra credit to the hotel proprietor who was very engaging and helpful to us to make sure we had a pleasant stay and recommend places to visit. The free breakfast was excellent.

The location is perfect in Thamel area. Very safe and highly walkable within the tourist and dining spots. The room is big. Shower water pressure is good. There is electric kettle and fridge in the room which is a big plus for me. There is an elevator available too. Breakfast is good especially the Nepalese yoghurt with grains. But the most valuable asset of the hotel are their staff. Special shoutout to Ashish Aryal. The best host to have. He is so genuine, super helpful and kind. He exemplified true Nepalese hospitality. Such a wonderful person. Great guy. I am definitely recommending Vastu Boutique hotel to everyone who visit Kathmandu. Five-star rating!!

Friendly staff who offered help and made me very welcome. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe.

Nice, clean hotel near the market. Staff very friendly and helpful, we felt really good here.
